Hey! It’s been a while since I posted on my blog and social media accounts because I’ve been busy creating my own crochet patterns! I'm so proud to be able to say all of the pictures in this post are my own patterns!
It took me about 3 weeks (and ruining about 10 skeins of yarn) to create something I am truly proud of. I have always loved the chevron crochet stitch and I knew I wanted to make a simple and breezy shawl. The part that was most challenging was keeping my stitch count’s correct so that the edges of the shawl stayed straight.
The other huge challenge was actually writing the pattern!! I was so confident going into this because I can read crochet short hand as well as any other fiber artist but writing in it is a whole different skill! I decided to create a template for my patterns so that each one is similar and includes a printable version, step by step pictures, and yarn recommendations.
I always knew I wanted to use Malabrigo yarn because it is the softest, squishiest yarn ever but sometimes can be over priced and hard to find.
I took a leap of faith and placed a wholesale order with the company so that I could get the colors I liked at a more affordable price. Now I have enough fancy yarn to last me an entire year. Lol
I am hoping to add a few hat kits to my shop with some of my extra yarn and I’m already working on my like 3 other new patterns! I'll keep you posted on how it goes! Here are the patterns that are currently available. I had to make them a little more expensive on Etsy because of their high fees but they are also available on Ravelry!
